Do Blond Dolls Have More Fun?

My bedroom held a well-stocked bar filled with Pepsi. The room, 29 feet long, must have been the scene of some pretty wild parties by the original owner. Or maybe they just wanted to keep their martinis within reach.

But for me, the space was my refuge. Here, I escaped to think of an idea to give my character a "hook"-a way to stand out from the competition. Then one day, it came to me: she shall be a twin! I played around with various materials and decided to discard the casual look to evoke a feeling of nostalgia: gingham dresses, Mary Jane shoes, ringlets and big bows. Having learned that blond dolls sell the best, blond it was. The idea of placing sweets in their stockings, prompted the name Sweet Stockings.

Then came the bad news: a twin property hit the market. Undaunted, I decided to make the twins magical. Then magic hit the market. I again retreated to my chambers and implored the angels to send some inspiration. It was afternoon. The western sun streamed through the window and highlighted my bookshelves. I looked up. My eye caught a book written by my former boss's wife, Joyce Burditt, a Hollywood producer and writer. The title took my breath away: Triplets. A sign!

My characters will be triplets. And magical ones at that!

Irrelevant Quote of the Week: "My therapist set half a glass of water in front of me. He asked if I am an optimist or a pessimist? So, I drank the water and told him I was a problem-solver."~Unknown
